Welcome to Velvetkist Persians. We are a small cattery located in Maryland that specializes in high white bicolor persians. We are no longer breeding solid whites. Velvetkist is a registered cattery with the Cat Fanciers Association. All of our cats and kittens are hand raised and cared for in a loving environment. Velvetkist is a DNA PKD negative tested cattery and all kittens are vet inspected and vaccinated. We have kittens available from time to time to loving, qualified homes. Show kittens are also available to show homes only. Please feel free to email me.

GC RW Purrden Me Darla of Velvetkist
Darla made 3 finals, including a BEST KITTEN, at National Capital in September 2007 at her first show at 4 months of age with 156 kittens present. Darla received many bests and blacklined many shows as a kitten and is a 7 ring Grand Champion. Special thanks to Dave Peet for his faith in Darla and for showing her for me some weekends that I could not...we almost made it :) Darla is a fabulous girl that loved the shows. I am looking forward to lovely kittens from her soon.
Darla will receive a Regional Win this year.

Dante is an 8 ring grand. Dante granded at Garden State on Saturday, July 21, 2007 and was shown as a Grand on Sunday and made 3 finals with 170 cats in championship

August 12, 2006 ~ Starli received FIVE Best Allbreed Kitten awards and a 3rd Best Allbreed award and was Highest Scoring Kiten in Show
August 19-20, 2006 ~ Starli made 7 out of 8 finals at Los Colores
August 26-27, 2006 ~ Starli made all finals including 2 Best Kittens and was Highest Scoring Kitten in Show
October 7-8, 2006 Starli made 2 finals as an Open
October 14-15, 2006 ~ Starli granded this weekend. Our first one show grand!

This is me with my first show cat, Ocalicos Louise. I bought Louise many years ago as a new person in the cat fancy and was unaware of PKD at that time. Louise died in 2006 of PKD. With the new technology of identifying this disease by DNA testing, ALL my cats have been tested in 2006 NEGATIVE via DNA testing at UC Davis. Every cat I breed and kitten I sell is guaranteed PKD negative.
I will miss you greatly Louise...my pillow buddy.
